Founded in 1997 by cancer survivor and cycling champion Lance Armstrong, the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LAF) provides practical information and the tools that people living with cancer need to live strong. The four core program areas of the LAF are:

• Education
• Advocacy
• Public Health
• Research

Nike created the bright yellow wristband (in May 2004) as a tribute to Lance Armstrong and in support of people living with cancer.

LIVESTRONG wristbands represent unity in the battle against cancer and hope for all those who are living with cancer.

SIDS and Kids is an international leader in the field of health promotion, dedicated to the elimination of sudden and unexpected infant death.

The Red Nose Day concept was adopted by SIDS and Kids organisations around Australia in 1988 where proceeds from Red Nose Day provides the following vital services and programs:

• 24 hour, 365 days a year crisis outreach and ongoing bereavement support for families and the community following the sudden and unexpected death of an infant or young child from 20 weeks gestation to 6 years.
• SIDS and Kids Safe Sleeping Program, an evidence-based health promotion campaign which offers practical advice to parents and health professionals about how to best reduce the risks of SIDS and sleep accidents.
• Research into the causes and prevention of sudden and unexpected death in the perinatal period and infancy.

Orders over AUD$40 will receive a genuine awareness 'Hero' wristband that Pixelpics Photography have purchased directly from SIDS and Kids.

Please read the following on our Charity Support Program (CSP):

1. Limited of one wristband per delivery address for each event.

2. The total purchase amount for each order will determine which free wristband is provided to you (ie. Orders between $20.00 to $39.99 will receive LIVESTRONG and $40.00 or above will receive the 'Hero' wristband).

3. If you prefer LIVESTRONG instead of 'Hero' wristband, please include that in the special instructions at the time of placing your order. Sorry but not the other way around (ie. Swap LIVESTRONG for 'Hero').

4. We regularly monitor the number of wristbands that we have and order additional stocks when required. If stocks runs out at the time of processing your order, we will send you the wristband when Pixelpics Photography receives new stock.

5. The 'Hero' wristband from SIDS and Kids are limited production item, therefore if SIDS and Kids runs out of their awareness wristband, we will provide LIVESTRONG wristband instead. Please note that we have ran out of the 'Hero' wristband and are currently sourcing them from SIDS and Kids. LIVESTRONG wristband will be provided in the meantime.

6. Our CSP may change at anytime but we honour what is on our website at the time when the order was placed.

7. The program is effective as of October 19th, 2005. Does not apply to orders prior to this date.
